I am Caroline A.Rivas, a Franco-Colombian singer-songwriter. Having started music at the age of 5 under the influence of my father, the great master Colombian accordionist Antonio Rivas, I quickly developed a passion for music.
My musical journey from classical accordion to autobiographical composition
At 10, I won the title of European Champion on the accordion, before turning to the piano at the age of 11. I spent 10 years training in classical piano at the Conservatories of Gap, Marseille and Montpellier. I finally found my way into autobiographical composition and recorded two singles in Paris before discovering the Caribbean and settling in Martinique.
A unique blend of Latin and traditional music - my Caribbean and European tour
My unique style of music combines mixed Latin music in piano-voice with a traditional and folkloric repertoire on the accordion. I am currently performing in various Caribbean islands and in Europe, having settled in Saint-Martin.
